Former Telangana CM KCR Discharged From Hospital

K Chandrashekar Rao underwent a total left hip replacement surgery at Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad.

Former Telangana CM and BRS party national leader K Chandrashekar Rao was discharged from Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad on Friday. KCR underwent a total left hip replacement surgery after he fell in his farmhouse in Erravalli on December 7. The surgery was performed an hour after he was elected as Leader of the Opposition by BRS leaders in the Assembly. 

A video of KCR leaving the hospital was also released on Friday. He was greeted by his supporters until he reached the commute vehicle.

The surgery conducted on Friday has been declared successful by the medical team. Rao is reported to be in a medically stable condition, free from pain, and is resting comfortably. Ongoing evaluation and monitoring are being carried out by a multi-disciplinary team of doctors. They anticipate a recovery period of six to eight weeks for the former chief minister, according to Yashoda Hospital.

KCR started taking a few steps after the surgery on December 9.

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister and State BJP President G Kishan Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, and TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu expressed their concerns and extended wishes for a swift recovery to Rao.

On Sunday, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy paid a visit to Rao at Yashoda Hospital with Minister Seethakka and former minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir. Reddy disclosed that he had directed the chief secretary and other relevant officials to provide the necessary assistance and cooperation for KCR's treatment.
