IMD Predicts Light To Moderate Rains In Andhra Pradesh, Telangana For Next Two Days

Hyderabad Meteorological Centre predicted light to moderate rains in several districts of North Telangana on Wednesday.

The effect of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal has reduced over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The low pressure over south Chhattisgarh and south-east Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha has turned into a severe depression. India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the low pressure moved towards south-east Madhya Pradesh and eventually reached north-west Madhya Pradesh. Due to this, officials said moderate to light showers will occur in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the next two days.

The meteorological centre has not issued any rain warnings due to low rainfall.

The effect of low pressure has reduced over the Telangana state. Regional Meteorological Centre (Hyderabad) said moderate to heavy rains will occur in some districts on Wednesday. Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Jagtial districts received showers on Tuesday. No rain warnings have been issued.

Officials have predicted light to moderate rains in several districts of North Telangana on Wednesday.

Hyderabad could be cloudy for the next 24 hours. There is a chance of moderate rain in some places in the city. Maximum and Minimum Temperatures are likely around 30 degrees Celcius and 22 degrees Celcius respectively. Winds are blowing from the southwest direction at a speed of 10 to 12 kilometres per hour, said IMD.

In North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, some places will receive moderate to heavy rain for the next two days. The sky will remain cloudy in Kakinada, Ichchapuram, and Srikakulam districts. Officials have predicted that there is a possibility of thunder and lightning rains in one or two places.

The Regional Meteorological Center (Amaravati) said Nellore, Prakasam, Bapatla, Palnadu, Guntur, NTR and Krishna would get moderate rain for the next two days. The Chittoor and Kadapa districts of Rayalaseema will also record average rainfall.
