Hyderabad: Police Nab Five Students For Sexually Assaulting Class 10 Student
The police have charged five students, all of whom are minors, under the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
A Class 10 girl was allegedly gang raped by five of her classmates and also blackmailed using a video clip of the sexual assault under Hayathnagar police station limits on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The accused videotaped the sexual assault and threatened the girl that if she exposed it to anybody, they would post the footage on social media. They sexually assaulted the girl again ten days later by blackmailing her.
Though the sexual assault occurred in August, it came to light recently with the parents of the victim approaching the police. The accused allegedly posted the video on social media and when the parents came to know about it, they complained to the police.
The police have charged five students, all of whom are minors, under the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. They have been sent to the juvenile home.

Earlier in Trichy, five men reportedly raped a minor girl, threatened her with the video for over a year and recently released the video of the crime on WhatsApp. After the issue came to light, Trichy police arrested three men police and are on a search to find two other men who are absconding.
According to a report in the Times of India, the minor was raped by her relative and four others a year ago. Later, using the video of the crime, the men reportedly took to threaten the girl and raped her multiple times. The issue came to light after the minor girl recently got "married" to her relative.
Based on a tip-off, the CWC and police rescued the girl and took her to a government home. However, after she was moved to the home. A video of the rape surfaced on WhatsApp. The viral video reached her father who immediately gave a complaint to CWC, Trichy.
