Hyderabad Gang-Rape Case: No One Involved In Gang Rape Will Be Spared, Says Telangana Home Minister

Hyderabad Gang-Rape Case: Telangana Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said the law will take its own course and the guilty in the Jubilee Hills gang rape case will not be spared

New Delhi: Telangana Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali Wednesday said the law will take its own course and the guilty in the Jubilee Hills gang rape case will not be spared. He also said that all are equal before police irrespective of their political affiliations.

"For police, there are no friends, relatives or enemies. If someone has done wrong, then action will be taken against that person. All are equal before police irrespective of their political affiliations," said the home minister, as quoted by news agency ANI.

"People are using mobile phones & children are getting spoiled. It’s the responsibility of the parents. I would like to appeal to all the parents to take care of their children and if the children roam freely then it will be difficult to stop them," he added.

Five juveniles have been booked in the May 28 Jubilee Hills gang rape case including the son of a TRS leader who is also chairman of Wakf Board. When asked if the Wakf Board chairman would be removed from the post, the home minister said that no decision has been taken yet.

Ali said it was unfortunate that some people tried to drag the name of his grandson in the case by spreading rumours. "Public representatives should act with responsibility while speaking," he said, as quoted by IANS.

Ali lauded the Hyderabad Police for comprehensive investigation and breakthrough in the case.
