Hyderabad: Couple Kills Self Due To Ill-Health
Somireddy, 65, and Manjula, 58, were found dead at Venkatrao Nagar colony, police said.
A couple allegedly committed suicide at their residence in Kukatpally area in Hyderabad. According to the IANS report, Somireddy, 65, and Manjula, 58, were found dead at Venkatrao Nagar colony, police said.
Reportedly, Manjula hanged herself, while Somireddy is suspected of having consumed pesticide. When Manjula's brother Venkata Reddy visited her home late on Tuesday after she did not answer his repeated phone calls, he learned about the incident.
Venkata Reddy alerted the police, who shifted the bodies for autopsy and took up the investigation. Police suspect that the couple took extreme steps due to ill health.
The couple is survived by two sons. While the elder son lives separately in the Miyapur area of Hyderabad city, the younger son works abroad.

On Sunday, three members of a family died by suicide in Nashik district of Maharashtra state apparently due to financial woes as they were unable to repay money to lenders. The deceased members include a father and his two sons.
The incident is said to have taken place around 3:00 pm on Sunday. The area where it happened comes under the jurisdiction of Nashik's Satpur police station. The police have recovered a suicide note from the spot in which the deceased mentioned their financial woes as the reason behind their decision.
According to the police, the suicide note mentioned that the deceased had borrowed money from some people, which they were proving unable to repay. They were constantly being harassed by the borrowers to return the money, the note stated, as per the police.
