CM KCR Releases Video Of BJP Trying To ‘Poach’ TRS MLAs, Says Will Share Evidence With CJI And HC

The Chief Minister revealed the purported "conspiracy" by BJP to buy TRS MLAs for Rs 100 crore by presenting video and audio evidence.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday released a video of the alleged poaching attempt on Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) party MLAs by the BJP party.  A week after three alleged agents of the BJP were arrested in Hyderabad while trying to "buy" four MLAs of the TRS by offering huge money.

In a news conference held by the Chief Minister, he also revealed the purported "conspiracy" by BJP to buy TRS MLAs for Rs 100 crore and said that he will present video and audio as evidence.

KCR said that the evidence has also been sent to the Supreme Court Chief Justice of India, all Supreme Court judges, chief justices of all high courts, agencies like the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), and the media.

Telangana Chief Minister said: "When the country was in a crisis, the judiciary came to the rescue of democracy. The accused told the TRS MLAs that a 24-member gang was operating in the country to buy MLAs and topple the anti-BJP government. It was a shame on the part of the BJP for encouraging such acts, which are against the democratic spirit".

The CM said the revelations in the videos and the stuff collected in the poaching episode were reflecting the startling facts of how the BJP was trying to lower the standards even in the election commission and election structure.

KCR said, citing their phone and in-person conversations, the accused claimed that they discussed plans to topple the governments of Telangana, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan in addition to the eight state governments that had previously been toppled.

He said Ramachandra Bharathi came here and held talks with TRS MLA Rohith Reddy, who informed the home minister. When Ramachandra Bharati and two other people met the TRS MLAs at a farmhouse on October 26, the police detained them.

The CM claimed to have three-hour-long footage in which the accused explained how they toppled the eight governments and what they plan to do to topple others.

He said BJP conspiracy politics is shameful to the country, and he appealed to the people, youth, and media to fight unitedly and condemn the BJP's activities and political exploitation.
