BJP National President JP Nadda Condemns Party's Telangana Chief Bandi Sanjay's 'Illegal Arrest'

Eyeing the 2023 Assembly elections in Telangana, Nadda asserted that the party will fight democratically and ensure that TRS will be wiped out

Citing law & order issue, Telangana Police on Tuesday detained state BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar in Jangaon District. Hours after Sanjay's arrest, BJP National President JP Nadda condemned the BJP leader's "illegal arrest" by TRS government. Aiming at the upcoming Assembly elections in Telangana, Nadda asserted that the party will fight democratically and ensure that TRS will be wiped out.

"I strongly condemn the illegal arrest of BJP Telangana State President Bandi Sanjay by TRS government. KCR is worried seeing the massive support that BJP is receiving from all corners of the state against his corrupt & family-centric regime," Nadda said, as quoted by news agency ANI.

"We'll fight democratically and ensure that in the coming elections TRS & KCR will be wiped out," the national BJP president added.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Kishan Reddy demanded the TRS government to release Bandi Sanjay and questioned the government on what grounds did the police arrested the state BJP president.

BJP Telangana in charge and national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Tuesday strongly condemned the arrest of state party chief Bandi Sanjay and others warned that the party would launch state-wide protests against the barbaric act of the KCR government.

Demanding immediate release of the BJP leaders and workers, Chugh said the BJP would never give up its struggle against the family rule of KCR and said that the "barbaric and rogue" government of the KCR would soon be brought to its knees.

Sanjay, who was holding 'Praja Sangram Padayatra', was forcefully arrested by police, said the BJP leaders. He had rejoined the yatra after Amit Shah’s public meeting in poll-bound Munugode. The BJP leader has staged a protest in Jangaon district against the arrests of BJP workers in Hyderabad, said BJP leader NV Subhash.
