ABVP, SFI Students Clash At Hyderabad Central University Over Union Elections, 1 Injured
In the clash, one student suffered injuries and has been rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Chennai: The students of Rashtriya Swayamsevak (RSS) student wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Left-wing's Student Federation of India clashed over student union elections 2022-2023 at Hyderabad central university on Friday.
According to ANI, “Hyderabad, Telangana | Students of ABVP and SFI clash at Hyderabad central university over student union elections. ABVP alleged that SFI students inflicted violence against the tribal students of ABVP and used sharp objects to attack them.”

In the clash, one student suffered injuries and has been rushed to a hospital for treatment. Glass doors on the campus were also damaged. The clash started after two students got into a war of words with each other.

The student union elections were held on campus on Friday. The elections were conducted after a gap of two years. Pollings were in full swing at various booths in University of Hyderabad campus for Students' Union Elections 2022-23.
Earlier, the students of ABVP and SFI clashed over the screening BBC's documentary on PM Modi. While SFI wanted to screen the movie, ABVP was protesting against the screening.
However, the SFI members screened the documentary and ABVP screened 'The Kashmir Files' on the campus.
In 2014, a clash between two student union groups, Bahujan Students Front and SFI, left eight students injured. The clash broke out after the union called for a council meeting and the BSF skipped the meeting since they were not reportedly informed about it through a circular. However, the SFI still continued with the meeting. All the injured were then taken to the hospital for treatment.
