WhatsApp Preview For Voice Messages Lets You Listen To Voice Message Before Sending It
Meta (formerly Facebook) owned WhatsApp has rolled out a preview feature for voice messages, thus, letting users preview the voice messages before sending them to users.
New Delhi: In a much-needed upgrade to voice messages, Meta (formerly Facebook) owned WhatsApp has rolled out a preview feature for voice messages, thus, letting users preview the voice messages before sending them to users on the platform. According to the world's most popular messaging platform, the feature is available for Android, web, desktop and iOS users.
"They’re not mistakes, they’re rehearsals. Now you can preview your voice messages before you hit send," WhatsApp announced on Twitter late on Tuesday.
The upgrade to voice messages also brings a neat feature apart from the current ability to change the speed at which the messages are heard. The new feature is slowly rolling out to users globally. There is no official timeline for its availability for users in India.
"By reviewing a draft of a voice recording before you send it, you can send your outgoing message with confidence," the company said in a statement on a support page.
The Meta-owned company has been introducing new features and upgrades, as it intends to give more useful options and power to its users and in one such update, earlier this month, WhatsApp started letting users enable the disappearing messages feature for all chats at one go. The company CEO Mark Zuckerberg had made the announcement through a Facebook post.
The feature initially launched in November 2020, gave users the only option of making messages disappear after a week. This feature is being expanded to let WhatsApp users delete messages just after 24 hours, 7 days or 90 days.
