Google may launch its next flagship Pixel series of smartphones soon after the unveiling of the Apple iPhone 15 series. Google is likely to stick to its usual launch schedule and if there's no change in that, we may see the Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8 handsets officially being unveiled at a special event in California in October. There have been several leaks and rumours pertaining to the Pixel 8 series and the latest leak suggests that the lineup would launch in October.
EU Wants Handheld Gaming Consoles To Have Replaceable Batteries
Days after officially agreeing upon new regulations that require smartphone makers to design their devices to let users easily replace the batteries on them, a new rule in the European Union (EU) is in place that would require handheld consoles to have easily replaceable batteries. According to a report by Eurogamer, new handheld gaming consoles would require to be fitted with replaceable batteries from 2027. This means next-gen models of the Nintendo Switch Steam Deck would need to be launched with replaceable batteries by 2027.

The head of engineering responsible for overseeing the development of former US President Donald Trump's Truth Social app has confirmed his resignation, dealing a setback to the project, reported Reuters. Alex Gleason's departure comes at a time of ongoing uncertainty for Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the company behind the app. Truth Social was launched as a means for Trump to connect with his base after being banned from major social media platforms following the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol by his supporters.

BlueSky has apparently failed to flag slurs in account usernames due to which several protesting users are protesting. Redmi 12 Colour Variants Leaked
Redmi 12 is set to be officially unveiled in India on August 1. The phone was earlier launched in June in several regions globally. The handset is likely to be launched in the affordable smartphone category which is not seeing a lot of launches these days.
