Meanwhile, the Google Pixel 8 series is likely to get upgrades in terms of fast charging and battery. The Google Pixel 8 lineup is said to come with bigger batteries and faster charging speeds than last year's Pixel 7 lineup. Even as wired charging is likely to get a bump, wireless charging on the purported Pixel 8 phones is expected to remain the same. There are smartphone makers such as OnePlus and Oppo that provide insane charging speeds for their phones, but Google still chooses to ship Pixel phones with 23W of wired charging support. Last year's Pixel 7 lineup supports 23W charging speed.
The upcoming Google Pixel 8 lineup is also likely to get a small boost in battery capacity as well. The Pixel 8 could come with a 4,485mAh battery vs. the Pixel 7's 4,270mAh battery while the bigger and pricier Pixel 8 Pro is likely to come with a more modest bump of 24mAh to 4,950mAh.
