Vivo X80 And Vivo X80 Pro Launched In India: Specs, Prices And More

Handset maker Vivo on Wednesday refreshed its X series in India with the Vivo X80 Pro and the Vivo X80.

New Delhi: Handset maker Vivo on Wednesday refreshed its X series in India with the Vivo X80 Pro and the Vivo X80. Like the previous iterations, the Vivo X80 series is also a camera-centric lineup from Vivo and has the company's partnership with Zeiss, similar to what we have seen in the previous-gen Vivo X60 and Vivo X70 lineup.

The new Vivo X80 and X80 Pro come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The Vivo X80 line with compete with flagships such as OnePlus 10 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Pro among others.

The price of the Vivo X80 Pro in India has been set at Rs 79,999 for the sole 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model while the Vivo X80 costs Rs 54,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and Rs 59,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. The Vivo X80 Pro comes in Cosmic Black while the Vivo X80 will beavailble in Cosmic Black and Urban Blue colour options.

Both the Vivo X80 Pro and X80 go on sale starting May 25 and their pre-bookings start today (May 18). Both the devices will go on sale on e-commerce site Flipkart, the company's authorised offline retailers and Vivo’s own online store.

The Vivo X80 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a full-HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 20:9. There is a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP Sony IMX866 RGBW sensor with an f/1.75 aperture along with a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and a 12MP portrait camera with an f/1.98 aperture. In the front, there is a centrally-placed hole-punch cutout that houses a 32MP selfie shooter.

The Vivo X80 Pro also has a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 2K resolution. The quad rear camera setup is dominated by a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GNV primary sensor along with a 48MP ultra-wide Sony IMX598 sensor, a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor and an 8MP sensor with a periscope-shaped ultra-telephoto lens. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP selfie camera on the front.

Both the devices boot Android 12 with OriginOS Ocean skin on top. The Vivo X80 pro comes with a 4700mAh battery with 80W Flash Charge support while there is a 4500mAh battery with support for 80W Flash Charge in the Vivo X80.
