Vivo V23 Pro 5G, Vivo V23 Launching Today: Here's How To Watch Livestream

Vivo is set to launch the Vivo V23 series that includes the Vivo V23 Pro and the vanilla Vivo V23 in India at 12pm today.

New Delhi: Handset maker Vivo is set to launch the Vivo V23 series that includes the Vivo V23 Pro and the vanilla Vivo V23 in India at 12pm today (Wednesday).  The company will host a virtual event to unveil the devices in the wake of the growing Omicron scare and ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. This series is the next mid-range 5G offering from Vivo.

The company had earlier confirmed it will announce the devices in India on January 5. The Vivo V23 Pro was originally unveiled in Thailand in November as a budget device with 5G capabilities in a single configuration.

The virtual launch event will be hosted on the company’s YouTube channel and other social media platforms. Those interested to watch the virtual event can click here.

Meanwhile, the Vivo V23 5G line will come with India's first 50MP Eye Autofocus Dual Selfie cameras. The pricier V23 Pro is likely to be the slimmest smartphone with a curved edge screen. The Vivo V23 series will comprise the vanilla Vivo V23 and Vivo V23 Pro and will feature a dual selfie camera setup, says a previous report by GSMArena.

According to an official promo aired by Vivo during a sports match, the device was shown in a Sunshine Gold colour variant.

Some of the specifications of the Vivo V23 series include a Sunshine Gold colour variant, a triple rear camera setup lead by a 64MP primary sensor, and an “ultra-slim 3D curved display”. The vanilla Vivo V23 is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip, paired with 8GB RAM and the Vivo V23 Pro may be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset as well.

According to some previous rumours and leaks, the Vivo V23 series that will be unveiled in India could be largely based on Vivo S12 series that was recently unveiled in the company's home turf China. The Vivo S12 Pro that was launched in China features a 108MP primary sensor on the rear camera. However, the Vivo V23 series of smartphones may pack 64MP primary sensors.
