Samsung Galaxy S24 Tipped To Feature Google Pixel-Like AI Photo Editor: What We Know So Far

Samsung Galaxy S24 specifications and other details were leaked days before its launch.

Samsung is gearing up to introduce its high-end Galaxy S24 lineup on January 17. Recent leaks showcasing the SIM trays have provided a glimpse into the new colour variations that will debut on the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+. Additionally, a comprehensive report has surfaced, divulging almost every detail about the upcoming Galaxy S24 series, encompassing the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra.

According to the latest findings, Samsung is set to integrate a cutting-edge Generative AI Photo Editor tool into the Galaxy S24 series, mirroring a feature already present in the Google Pixel 8. While the Galaxy S24 lineup is anticipated to boast a multitude of AI capabilities, one noteworthy tool that stands out is the AI photo editing feature, poised to rival the capabilities of the Pixel 8.

As disclosed by insider Mystery Lupin on X (formerly Twitter), the feature set includes the innovative Generative Edit, previously hinted at in earlier leaks.

The recently revealed information indicates that the Generative AI photo editing tool will be a standard inclusion across all Galaxy S24 devices. This tool is designed to facilitate the removal and relocation of undesirable elements within photos. Impressively, it can also employ AI to generate and fill vacant spaces in the photograph by extrapolating to a new area outside the original frame.

At present, the tool appears to draw parallels with Google's Magic Editor, prompting speculation about its potential capabilities on the Galaxy S24. It is noteworthy that the Generative AI photo editor on the Galaxy S24 is expected to be robust and proficient. Importantly, users of the Galaxy S24 will need to log in using a Samsung account and maintain an active internet connection to utilise the Generative Edit AI photo editing tool, emphasizing its reliance on cloud access for optimal functionality.
