After Elon Musk Hints At Buying MSNBC, UFC Analyst Joe Rogan Offers To Dress Up & Tell Same Lies As Rachael Maddow
Joe Rogan said, “If you (Elon Musk) buy MSNBC I would like Rachael Maddow's job. I will wear the same outfit and glasses, and I will tell the same lies."
Donald Trump Jr recently joked with X owner Elon Musk about him buying Microsoft NBC (MSNBC) which is up for sale now. Following this, UFC analyst Joe Rogan, expressed his interest in getting the job of Rachel Maddow who is a leftist political analyst and runs a weekly show on the channel if Musk does indeed buy the channel. The saga began when Comcast, the parent company of NBC Universal, revealed that it is selling the network. Following this announcement, Trump Jr poked Musk on X with a post that read, "Hey @elonmusk I have the funniest idea ever!!!" Musk replied by asking, "How much it cost?"
Coincidentally, these are the exact same words that Musk used before buying Twitter. Due to this Dejavu, everyone got their hopes up that their champion of free speech is going to buy MSNBC now. Rogan also hopped on the wagon and said, “If you buy MSNBC I would like Rachael Maddow's job. I will wear the same outfit and glasses, and I will tell the same lies."

Elon Musk's History Of Turning A Joke Into A Deal
If Elon Musk decides to purchase MSNBC from Comcast, it wouldn’t rank as his most notable acquisition. In 2022, he famously bought Twitter from Twitter, Inc. and rebranded it as X. This move was strongly endorsed by Joe Rogan, who saw it as a critical step for preserving free speech. Rogan has often praised Musk as a champion of free expression, and their political views appear to have aligned further following Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 US presidential election.
Recently, the SpaceX CEO humorously engaged with Rogan on social media after the podcaster updated his X bio to include “Dragon Believer.” This playful addition was Rogan’s response to Joy Behar’s lighthearted critique of him, showcasing the camaraderie and shared humour between the two public figures. Musk said, “Have to say that @joerogan's profile description is awesome.”
