Attack On Donald Trump: Elon Musk Slams New York Times, CNN; Claims 2 Assassination Attempts On Himself In Past 8 Months
Musk tweeted that individuals had been arrested with firearms approximately 20 minutes from Tesla’s headquarters in Texas, foiling their assassination attempts.
Former US President and 2024 Republican candidate Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, US on Saturday. The assailant fired three shots, one of which allegedly grazed Trump's right ear. Trump was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The incident occurred just days before Trump is set to accept the Republican Party’s presidential nomination for the upcoming election. In the aftermath, Trump's odds of winning the elections rose to around 70 per cent, as per several analyses. This was particularly bolstered by prominent supporters voicing their endorsement of Trump, including the billionaire boss of X (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk.

On Sunday, Musk renewed his criticism of several legacy media houses, including the New York Times for an opinion piece that appeared in the paper on Sunday. He also said there have been two assassination attempts on himself in the last eight months.
What Did Musk Post?
Musk took to social media to express his outrage, describing the publication's stance as "callous and despicable" and accusing them of lacking empathy. The opinion piece in question asserted that Trump had "failed the tests of leadership and betrayed America," urging voters to reject him in November.
The New York Times just published this about Trump today.

The legacy media is a pure propaganda machine. 𝕏 is the voice of the people. https://t.co/oTKsmrIMms

In a separate reply to a user, Musk revealed that he had been the target of two assassination attempts in the past eight months. He detailed that individuals had been arrested with firearms approximately 20 minutes from Tesla’s headquarters in Texas. Musk warned of "dangerous times ahead" and reiterated his endorsement of Trump by donating to his campaign and likening Trump to former President Theodore Roosevelt for his toughness.

Two people (separate occasions) have already tried to kill me in the past 8 months. They were arrested with guns about 20 mins drive from Tesla HQ in Texas.
Last year, Musk accused the media of endangering his life by sharing his real-time location, which was based on publicly available flight logs of his private jet. In response, Musk's company, X, suspended the accounts of several journalists who had reported on his movements.
