People Living Abroad Can Send Rakhi To Their Siblings In India In Just 10 Minutes Now Via Blinkit

If you're living abroad and wish to send a Rakhi to your brother or gifts to your sister or other family members, this service could be quite handy.

Raksha Bandhan is just two days from now and the shopping spree across the nation is going on like anything. People are busy buying Rakhis and Rakhi gifts for their siblings. However, there's a section of Non-Resident Indian (NRI) sisters whose brothers are still residing in India, and they have a hard time sending Rakhi to them on this special occasion. They have to send the Rakhis days and weeks in advance for it to reach their brothers on time due to the checks, including Customs. Zomato-owned Blinkit has identified this issue and is here with a solution.

Blinkit has a reputation for delivering items to your household in minutes. Now, the company has turned on international orders till August 19. In simpler words, this means that people living abroad can now use Blinkit to send Rakhis or other gifts to their siblings living in India.

Siblings Living Abroad Can Send Rakhis To India In Just 10 Minutes Via BlinkIt

The CEO of Blinkit, Albinder Dhindsa, has said that customers living in the USA, Germany, Netherlands, Japan, France and Canada can now send their siblings rakhis and other items like traditional sweets, snacks along with other festive items. He added that the items will be delivered in 10 minutes.

Dhindsa tweeted, "Raksha Bandhan special - we’ve switched on international orders on Blinkit till 19th August. Folks living abroad can now place orders on Blinkit to send Rakhis and gifts to their siblings in India and we’ll deliver in 10 minutes! 💛Countries from where you can order - USA, Canada, Netherlands, Germany, France and Japan."

If you're living abroad and wish to send a Rakhi to your brother or gifts to your sister or other family members, this service could be quite handy. However, it remains unclear whether Blinkit will charge international customers extra or if deliveries will be handled as usual.

Earlier this month, Blinkit launched a feature allowing users to have passport-sized photos delivered to their doorstep in just 10 minutes. The process is straightforward: simply upload an existing photo or take a new one, and Blinkit will handle background removal and adjustments. Customers can then choose to receive 8, 16, or 32 prints. Currently, this service is only available in Delhi and Gurugram.
