During the event, Apple is expected to introduce updates to its operating systems, including iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, and watchOS 11. These updates are anticipated to feature significant AI enhancements. The tech giant is rumoured to brand these new capabilities under the name “Apple Intelligence,” potentially transforming Siri with ChatGPT-like conversational features and infusing apps like Notes, Music, and Voice Memo with advanced AI functionalities.

The AI capabilities will leverage both on-device processing via the neural processing unit (NPU) and cloud-based inferencing, depending on the service and device. Reports suggest a partnership with OpenAI to bring these AI features to iPhones. Additionally, Apple may unveil AI-supported development tools, such as an enhanced version of Xcode, to aid developers in integrating AI into their applications and games.

While the full suite of new AI features may be exclusive to the latest hardware — such as the iPhone 15 Pro series — devices equipped with the M1 chip or newer will likely benefit from “Apple Intelligence” on iPads and Macs.
