TN Doesn't Have A Bold CM: Tamil Maanila Congess General Secretary AS Munavar

The Cauvery Water Regulation Committee (CWRC) issued an interim order to Karnataka to release 5,000 cusecs of water per day for the next 15 days.

Tamil Maanila Congress slammed MK Stalin for not being a bold Chief Minister and asked how the people of Tamil Nadu would vote for Opposition's INDIA alliance. Tamil Maanila Congress General Secretary AS Munavar Basha made the statement in connection with Cauvery Water Regulation Committee (CWRC) issuing an interim order to Karnataka to release 5,000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu daily for the next 15 days. Munavar Basha also said that Karnataka was not releasing water to Tamil Nadu despite being an ally of DMK.

On Tuesday, AS Munavar Basha said, "This is a victory for delta farmers. But at the same time, Karnataka Govt will not obey the instruction because in Tamil Nadu we don't have a bold CM. That is why this (Cauvery issue) happened. Had he been a bold CM, he would have got the water without any commission or court's direction.

“They (DMK) have an alliance in INDIA but Karnataka Govt is not releasing water to Tamil Nadu. How will the people in Tamil Nadu vote for INDIA alliance?" he said.
