TN BJP Leaders Raise Objection To Stalin's Bengaluru Visit Amid Mekedatu Row
During the same time, "GoBackStalin" also went viral on Twitter.
Tamil Nadu BJP condemned CM Stalin for not taking up Mekedatu row during his two-day visit to Bengaluru. The CM was in Bengaluru for the Opposition parties' conclave. Earlier, BJP had insisted TN CM Stalin discuss about Mekedatu dam project with the newly-elected Congress government during his visit.
In a tweet, TN BJP chief Annamalai said, "Karnataka Congress rulers are planning to go ahead with Mekedatu project that goes against the interest of Tamil Nadu farmers. Karnataka government has been ignoring the Cauvery water share for Tamil Nadu but incompetent DMK government neglected the welfare of Tamil Nadu farmers for an unprincipled selfish alliance without raising any objection."

Condemning the move, TN BJP chief K Annamalai tweeted a picture of himself clad in a black shirt. Senior BJP colleagues too held press meets across the state, wearing black outfits, protesting against the ruling DMK over the matter.
During the same time, "GoBackStalin" also went trending on top of Twitter. Many users used the hashtag to criticise the CM and the ruling DMK over the Mekedatu row.
"At a time when farmers of Tamil Nadu are being punished by the Congress government of Karnataka, Chief Minister M K Stalin and DMK alliance party leaders are having a feast with the Congress. This is the concern they have for Tamil Nadu's ryots," Annamalai said, as per PTI.
Annamalai said that he was abroad in South Africa for a BRICS gathering due to which he was unable to join his party's members there.
