Tamil Nadu Woman Abducted & Gang-Raped While Returning From Night Show Movie With Friend In Vellore, 4 Held

The action was taken based on the complaint of the woman against five men who were involved in the assault on Tuesday.

Chennai: A woman healthcare worker from Bihar was abducted and gang-raped by five men including two minors while she was returning home from a cinema hall after watching a night show movie with a friend in Vellore recently. The incident came to light after two of the inebriated accused created a ruckus in front of the police station. 

The police who witnessed the argument between the two accused took them under custody and started an investigation. In the probe, the accused revealed that they along with two others sexually assaulted a woman. Based on the confession, the woman was zeroed down and a formal online complaint was received from the woman on Tuesday. 

According to a report on ABP Nadu, the survivor along with his friend went for a night show movie and was returning back home in an auto on March 16.

Suddenly, the auto driver took them to a secluded place and along with his three other friends they started attacking the man and gang-raping the survivor. 

After the assault, two of them in an inebriated state went to Sathuvachari police station and started to argue. 

Following this, police took them into custody and they started the investigation.

During the probe, the two accused confessed of abducting and raping a woman healthcare worker from CMC, Vellore along with three others. They also said that they relieved the woman of Rs 40,000 cash and two sovereign gold jewelry.
