Tamil Nadu: O Panneerselvam Writes To Pvt Bank Requesting To Stop Money Transfers From AIADMK-Related Accounts
OPS said, in spite of the order, if you (bank) let any other person operate the aforesaid account in the name of AIADMK, you'll be held responsible for the misappropriation of accounts.
Chennai: Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu O Panneerselvam wrote to a private bank urging them to stop money transfers from current and fixed deposit accounts in the name of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam on Tuesday.
In an AIADMK letter pad, OPS said, "I am the Treasurer of AIADMK appointed by Former TN CM Jayalalithaa several years ago and have been serving as the co-coordinator of the party since 2017. I have been operating three bank accounts including for party headquarters building fund, AIADMK party development fund and party account in the capacity of the treasurer."
In this connection, Dindigul C Sreenivasan was appointed as the treasurer in the illegal general council meeting, he said. "As I am the Co-ordinator and Treasurer of AIADMK as per EC records, I request you not to operate the aforesaid accounts with Dindigul C Sreenivasan or any other persons," said OPS.

"In spite of the order, if you let any other person operate the aforesaid account in the name of AIADMK, you'll be held responsible for the misappropriation of accounts," he said.

On Monday, EPS camp appointed Palaniswami as the interim general secretary of the party and expelled OPS from the party fold during AIADMK general council meeting. They also appointed Dindigul C Sreenivasan as the treasurer of the party.
In reaction to the appointment, OPS expelled Palaniswami and KP Munusamy from the party.
The appointments led to clashes between both the parties and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(AIADMK) headquarters in Royapettah was sealed on Monday.
