Tamil Nadu: Man Murders Wife And Four Children, Later Dies By Suicide
The couple's another girl child Bhoomika who sustained cut injuries was rushed to the Government Hospital for treatment.
Chennai: A man allegedly murdered his wife and four children and later died by suicide in Chengam taluk of Tiruvannamalai district on Tuesday. Another daughter of the couple, a 9-year-old kid, is currently undergoing treatment for cut injuries at a Government Hospital in the district.
According to a report on ABP Nadu, a man identified as Palanisamy (45), was residing along with his wife Valli, daughters Trisha, Monisha, Sivasakthi and Bhoomika, and son Dhanush at their house in Chengam.
Palanisamy was a farm labourer from Oranthavadi village near Chengam.
On Tuesday, Palaniswamy, his wife and his children did not come out of their home since early morning. The neighbours who grew suspicious about the locked house informed the police.
Following this, the police rushed to the spot and broke open the house of Palaniswamy. In the house, the police allegedly found Palanisamy hanging from the ceiling while his 37-year-old wife, 3 daughters and son were found dead.
Another girl child Bhoomika who had cut injuries and was battling for life was rushed to the Government Hospital, a senior police official told PTI.
Meanwhile, the police collected forensic materials for evidence. They also sent the bodies of the six members to GH for autopsy.
However, the exact cause of the crime is yet to be known. The police have registered a case and have started the investigation into all the possible angles.
