Tamil Nadu BJP Chief Annamalai Visits Factories Hit By Floods, Assures To Take Urge Centre For Help
Tamil Nadu BJP president Annamalai reported that nearly 1000 companies and 5000 MSME units have been adversely affected by the cyclone.
Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai visited industries in Ambattur Industrial Estate in Chennai affected by waterlogging due to rainfall received due to Cyclone Michaung. During the visit, Tamil Nadu BJP Chief K Annamalai expressed concern over the extensive impact on businesses. Annamalai reported that nearly 1000 companies and 5000 MSME units have been adversely affected by the cyclone. TN BJP president also assured to take representation to the Central govt.
According to ANI, Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai visited Ambattur Industrial Estate in Chennai affected by waterlogging due to rains as a result of the cyclone Michaung.
On his visit to cyclone rain-affected Ambattur Industrial Estate in Chennai, Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai said, "A close to 1000 companies and 5000 MSME units are affected. Rajeev Chandrasekhar will visit the areas tomorrow. Chennai is an automobile component manufacturing cluster. It is sad to see such a big industrial area underwater. We will take their representation to the Central govt."

Meanwhile, German automaker Volkswagen India offered priority comprehensive checks to flood-affected customers in Chennai following the havoc caused by cyclone Michaung over the past few days.
The company said necessary guidelines have been issued across dealerships ensuring adequate manpower and availability of spare parts to take up repairs. Volkswagen India said it would also ensure timely repair of flood-related damage found in the priority comprehensive service check of their vehicles, a company release here said on Wednesday.
Adhering to a 'Customer-First' approach, Volkswagen India has given priority to providing support for stranded customers by offering complimentary Roadside Assistance, the company added.
