Earlier, Tamil actor Gautami Tadimalla resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party's Tamil Nadu unit on October 23, citing a lack of support from the party. She alleged that several members were supporting C. Alagappan, who she claimed had betrayed her by swindling her of money, property, and documents.
