Justice N. Sathish Kumar issued a temporary injunction until November 30 after Senior Counsel Vijay Narayan, representing Palaniswami, informed the judge that the assertions made by the ousted leader were causing public confusion, especially during the impending Parliamentary elections.
The injunction was granted as Panneerselvam did not submit a counter-affidavit despite multiple adjournments.
In August, Madras HC also refused to interfere with the expulsion of former TN CM OPS from AIADMK.
In April, the Election Commission of India recognised EPS as the General Secretary of AIADMK.
