'Nothing Wrong In It': Farooq Abdullah Backs DMK Chief Stalin As PM Candidate

Farooq Abdullah said, "If you protect diversity, you'll protect unity. So, from Kashmir to Kanniyakumari, they're trying to unite India."

Chennai: NC Chief Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday said that Stalin and DMK have done very well to see the nation's unity and he hopes that the same trend will continue to establish a happy nation. Farooq Abdullah is currently in Chennai to attend TN CM Stalin’s 70th birthday celebrations.

Farooq Abdullah, on DMK's push for opposition unity said, "It's a wonderful beginning. Stalin and DMK have done very well to see nation's unity. India is unity in diversity. If you protect diversity, you'll protect unity. So, from Kashmir to Kanniyakumari, they're trying to unite India."

"I hope it will further strengthen and I hope other leaders will also think in the same terms and we have a happy nation," he said.

When asked about the chances of Stalin becoming the Prime Minister, the NC chief asked what was wrong with it.
