After the Madras HC verdict on Wednesday, AIADMK coordinator O Pannerselvam paid respects to the MGR memorial, Anna memorial and Jayalalithaa memorial at Marina Beach in Chennai.
Chennai: “I dedicate the victory to one and a half crore members of AIADMK,” said AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam on Wednesday. After receiving a favourable judgment, OPS also said that a decision will be taken regarding conducting of general committee meeting after a discussion if necessary.
On Wednesday, the Madras HC ordered maintenance of the status quo as of June 23 in the AIADMK. The July 11 General Council (GC) meeting of the party had elected Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) as the interim general secretary.
The single-bench judge of the Madras High Court also ordered that the coordinator and joint coordinator can convene the GC again in the presence of a commissioner to oversee the council meeting.
