DMK Fulfilled 202 Of 505 Poll Promises Within Four Months Of Forming Govt: Tamil Nadu CM Stalin

The Chief Minister then went on to list the various promises fulfilled in the past four months including the various schemes that were not promised in the manifesto.

Chennai: Just ahead of local body polls to nine newly-formed districts in the state, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Sunday said that the DMK-led government has already fulfilled 202 of the 505 promises made before polls within the first four months.

According to a report on IANS, the Chief Minister in a 10-minute video said that he has held the responsibility of the Chief Minister because of the votes of the people and each of the votes has become the foundation for him to occupy the Chief Minister's chair.

Further, the Chief Minister stated that people of the state voted for him with the belief that DMK would fulfill the election promises. He said that he can with pride assure that the government is functioning in a way that does not affect the confidence of the people. He then spoke about how the party kept with most of the promises which has given him a confidence to speak among the people.

The Chief Minister then went on to list the various promises fulfilled in the past four months including the various schemes that were not promised in the manifesto and observing Thanthai Periyar's birthday as Social Justice Day.

Following this, the Chief Minister said, "DMK led government has fulfilled 202 of the 505 promises in the first four months of forming the government and it will be the only one party in the Indian subcontinent to have done the same.”

Hence, the Chief Minister requested the people to not consider this as the initial momentum since the government will continue like this forever. He also promised that their government will not be negligent in a way that would meet the voters only after five years and told the people to give an order since he is ready to work for them.
