Chennai Schools Get Bomb Threats, Some Private Institutions Declare Holiday
Certain private schools have declared a holiday for students and have requested parents to pick them up and take them home.

A few schools in Chennai received bomb threat emails in Greater Chennai Police Corporation limit on Thursday. As a result, certain private schools have declared a holiday for students and have requested parents to pick them up and take them home. However, the police have requested the public to not panic.
In a tweet, Greater Chennai Police said, "Bomb threat e-mails were received at a few educational institutions in GCP limits. GCP/BDDS teams have been sent for Anti-Sabotage Checks in these educational institutions and action is being taken to identifying the culprit who sent these e-mails."
