'Dharma Will Win': O Panneerselvam Tweets Amid Unitary Leadership Row In AIADMK

Chennai: Amid the unitary leadership row, AIADMK coordinator O Panneerselvam who's known for his 'Dharma Yudham' against ousted former AIADMK leader Sasikala, hinted at taking up 'Dharma Yudham 2.0'. In a tweet on Wednesday, O Panneerselvam said that only ‘Dharma will triumph’.
The statement of OPS also come at a time when one of the AIADMK members attempted suicide at former CM J Jayalalithaa's memorial near Marina Beach in Chennai.
In a series of tweets, O Panneerselvam said, "When AIADMK women's wing members went to Amma's (Jaya) memorial to condemn the dictatorship and anarchy prevailing in the party, Kesavan from Teynampet, district secretary of South Chennai, attempted to set himself ablaze."

"The news has saddened me and I request all party cadre to not attempt such things," he said.
Lastly, OPS quoting a Tamil saying of poet Bharathiyar said, "Truth will triumph". The quote also said that "Karma will hit you back".

The tweet of OPS also came amid AIADMK district secretaries and former Ministers' support growing for former CM Edappadi K Palaniswami in the party. The cadre had been showing support to EPS even as OPS had been demanding to stop the general council meeting scheduled on June 23.
Meanwhile, Madras HC has ordered police to provide protection for the general council meeting.
The controversy over unitary leadership started after former Minister Jayakumar after the district secretary meeting said that the majority of AIADMK members demand single leadership for the party.
