AIADMK Single Leadership: Posters Crop Up Supporting O Panneerselvam In Theni 

The row over appointing a single leader for the party started on Tuesday after a majority of AIADMK leaders reportedly said that single leadership is the need of the hour. 

Chennai: A day after AIADMK echoed on appointing a single leadership for the party currently headed by coordinator O Panneerselvam (OPS) and joint coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) during a meet in Chennai, posters have cropped up supporting the leadership of OPS in Theni on Wednesday. 

According to a report on ABP Nadu, several posters have cropped up supporting OPS in areas including Periyakulam, Kambam, Chinnamanoor and Uthamapalayam in Theni. The posters said, "We invite AIADMK's single leadership OPS", "OPS Should Come And Take The Lead" and "AIADMK Led By OPS Is The Order Of Amma" among others.

The posters have also come ahead of AIADMK general council meeting scheduled to be held on June 23 in Shrivaaru Wedding Hall in Chennai.

Meanwhile, OPS continued to hold a meeting with AIADMK leaders including Vaithiyalingam and Manoj Pandian for the second consecutive day over the single leadership row.

After the meeting of district secretaries, former Minister Jayakumar said, the majority of AIADMK secretaries and cadre opined that single leadership is the need of the hour but the name was not discussed yet so the party will further decide on that.
