Rawat said, “Pushkar Dhami is my younger brother and our relations are not new, rather they go back a long time. I have been with him since he was a child, even when he got married.”
The reason for Harak Singh Rawat to be angry was that the proposal to set up a medical college in his region, Kotdwar, was not approved. However, the party came into action within 24 hours as he was called for a meeting with the CM.
The meeting was held at CM’s residence in the presence of senior leaders like Minister Dhan Singh Rawat and state president Madan Kaushik. Rawat was assured by the party members that the college will be built and Rs 25 crores were allotted for the same.

He said, “I raised the matter in the Cabinet yesterday too but when I was not heard, I left the cabinet expressing my displeasure. I was really upset... Whether I contest from Kotdwar or not, when we promise the people something, it should be fulfilled.”
