UP CM Inspects First AYUSH University To Be Set Up In Gorakhpur, President To Lay Foundation Stone

CM Yogi Adityanath said the foundation stone of AYUSH University is to be laid by President Ram Nath Kovind on August 28. 98 colleges of AYUSH disciplinewill be affiliated with this university.

Gorakhpur Ayush University: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected the land for the state's first AYUSH University being constructed at Pipri village in Bhathat, Gorakhpur. The foundation stone laying ceremony is proposed to be held by President Ram Nath Kovind on August 28. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the foundation stone of AYUSH University is proposed to be laid by President Ram Nath Kovind on August 28. The foundation stone laying ceremony will be grand and there will be no loopholes while preparing for it.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected the construction site of AYUSH University at Pipri in Bhathat block before leaving for Ayodhya on Thursday and gave necessary instructions to the authorities. He inspected the entire site using binoculars. Seeing the water logging in the area, he instructed to drain the area at the earliest. District Collector Vijay Kiran Anand, said that the drainage work has begun. The chief minister also reviewed the road map prepared for the foundation stone laying ceremony. Instructions were given to complete all preparations before time. The district collector said that the helipad construction has started near the venue as per the chief minister's intention. Pipraich MLA Mahendrapal Singh and several administration officials were present.

Ayurvedic, Unani, Siddha, Homoeopathy and Yoga Medicine Studies

The state's first AYUSH University, which is going to be built on 52 acres of land at Pipri and Tarkulha in Bhathat block of Gorakhpur, will have a study and research work on Ayurvedic, Unani, Siddha, Homoeopathy and Yoga medicine on the same campus. These disciplines will also make medicine available here. This is a major step by the Yogi government in promoting natural and traditional systems of medicine, including Yoga. 98 colleges of AYUSH discipline in the state will be affiliated with this university. 

The construction of AYUSH university will also greatly benefit the farmers. Under the supervision of the university, they will be motivated for medicinal farming. The university will also have an AYUSH Institute and Research Centre. The DPR of Rs. 299.87 crore for the construction of the university has been created by the Executive Organization Public Works Department (PwD). The construction of this university will start immediately after the foundation stone is laid. CM Yogi has already directed to start affiliation of colleges in AYUSH University and other administrative work sessions from 2021-22 and teaching work session 2022-23 in the university. With the opening of this university in Gorakhpur, more than six crore people of Purvanchal will get another better medical option. The construction work of the university is targeted to be completed by March 2023.
