UP: Two Youths Hit By Speeding Car While Making Reel On Bike In Bijnor

The incident was caught on video and has gone viral, resulting in the UP Police sharing a safety message emphasising the importance of focusing on the road while driving.

In a shocking incident, two young men were hit by a speeding car while making a reel on a bike in the Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. The collision occurred on National Highway 34 in the Kiratpur area on Wednesday. During the incident, Samar and Noman, from Mundhala village, were seriously injured. 

As per a report in Dainik Bhaskar, the incident occurred while the youths were filming a reel on their bike and entered National Highway 34. As they turned onto the highway, a speeding car struck the bike from behind with tremendous force, throwing both men off the bike and causing them to fall some distance away.

The 8-second clip, which is now circulating on social media, shows the young men riding the bike and suddenly turning onto the highway, only to be hit by a car from behind. The shocking collision has garnered the attention of netizens widely.

Soon after the accident, both the victims were immediately rushed to the hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment. The viral video has sparked widespread concern about the dangers of such activities on busy roads.

Men Meet With Accident While Recording Video

In a similar incident, the UP Police shared a video to raise awareness about the risks of filming while riding a motorcycle. The video, meant to promote traffic safety, underscores the importance of keeping focused on the road. The phrase "Eyes on the road, not on the likes," was used by police alongside the video.

The video opens with two men on a bike, with one of them filming the video on his phone. Unfortunately, when the rider also joins in the video while recording, he becomes distracted due to taking his eyes off the road. Later, the video suddenly ends with the sounds and visuals of an accident, with a strong message.

By sharing such a cautionary story, the UP Police aims to discourage viewers from doing such careless behaviour which is a threat to their lives. 

According to the NDTV report, the incident occurred on the Beed bypass on the Dhule-Solapur National Highway in which one of them died and the other was severely injured.
