PM Modi Likely To Announce Launch Of Another Vande Bharat Train From Varanasi During 2-Day Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to announce the launch of another Vande Bharat Express train from Varanasi to Delhi along with several other development projects during his two-day visit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to announce the launch of one more Vande Bharat Express train between Varanasi and Delhi during his two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency, i.e., on December 17-18, reported news agency IANS. Apart from this, the Prime Minister is expected to gift projects worth Rs 12,000 crores to Varanasi and also announce the establishment of a railway tribunal in Kashi which will cover around 18 districts of the region. The first Vande Bharat train was launched from Varanasi in 2019

PM Modi will inaugurate 17 projects and lay the foundation stone of 11 projects, reported IANS while citing Varanasi divisional commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma.

According to the IANS report, Shivpur-Phulwaria-Lahartara four-lane road will also be one of the projects that PM Modi will inaugurate during his visit. Ahead of his trip, Varanasi Police Commissioner has directed officials to ensure that the public does not have to face any inconvenience due to the VIP movement. Directions for finalising route diversion plans to ensure smooth traffic flow have also been given.

Meanwhile, BJP Kashi regional unit president Dilip Singh Patel has kickstarted a door-to-door campaign in order to mobilise people for PM Modi's public meeting in Sevapuri on Monday, reported by PTI.

As per Patel, PM Modi will visit an exhibition based on the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Cutting Memorial School ground in Cantonment. He will also visit Namo Ghat and attend the Kashi-Tamil Sangamam 2.0 event there.

Centre Says Bullet Train Will Be Operational In 3 Years

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia last week said that the first section of the Bullet Train will commence within three years from now. Scindia while talking about the Railway budget said, "The 2013-14 rail budget was of Rs 29,000 crore, today the rail budget has been increased nine times in nine years to Rs 2 lakh 40 thousand crore," as reported by PTI.
