An angry mob set several houses on fire in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi following a triple murder over a land dispute, reported the news agency PTI. Police said that information about the death of three members of a family was received early Friday morning. They said that they were murdered over a land dispute and four persons have been named in the FIR. Kaushambi SP Brijesh Srivastava said that the situation was under control.
"The incident took place in Mohiuddinpur village under Sandeepan Ghat police station area. We received information of a triple murder at 6:15 am. Three members of a family, who were sleeping outside their house, were murdered," he said.

"We have named four suspects in the FIR, they are absconding. There was land dispute, and we are trying to gather more information. The situation here is under control (sic)," SP Brijesh Srivastava added.
