EXCLUSIVE | Bhim Army Chief Opens Door For Alliance With BSP, Says Will Do Anything To Stop BJP

Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar has said that his party will do everything possible to stop the BJP. At the same time, he also said that they are ready to join hands with Mayawati's BSP.

The opposition has started to gear up for the much-hyped Uttar Pradesh assembly elections and is trying to oust the ruling BJP from power. On the same note, Bhim Army and Azad Samaj Party Chief Chandrashekhar Azad in a special conversation with ABP News today mentioned that his party will do everything possible to prevent BJP from returning to power. At the same time, he also said that they are ready to have an alliance with Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).

Big Alliance To Be Formed To Stop BJP: Azad

Chandrashekhar Azad said Uttar Pradesh is in a "miserable condition". "We will fight for the restoration of democracy and will go on a cycle yatra from July 1," Chandrashekhar Azad said. He added that his party "will fight elections in UP on public issues. I want to form a big alliance to stop BJP in the state. I am taking this initiative because I am worried about UP".

When Chandrashekhar was asked which party he would like to support in UP, he said Azad Samaj Party will support the parties or allies who can defeat BJP in UP.

"We will join hands with the party which can contest elections on public issues. I want all the big parties in UP to form a big alliance together." He, however, said, "if all the party presidents aspire to become the chief minister, then the alliance will be in trouble."

Hope To Form 'Positive Alliance' Before Elections

Chandrashekhar Azad said there is no "anti-BJP party" that does not speak to me. He added that his hopes are there to have a "positive alliance" to be formed before the elections. "I will campaign in every village to recruit and train party workers," he added

Ready To Be In Alliance With Mayawati

On being in alliance with Mayawati's party - BSP - Chandrashekhar said" "I have ideological differences with Mayawati. I do not have personal animosity with her. If she agrees to be on a common program with me, then I am ready for an alliance with BSP. Joining us will strengthen BSP, and then the BJP workers will not be able to pressurize them."
