Better Roads, Faster Progress: Punjab's Development on the Fast Track

As part of the Smart Mobility Project, more than 1,000 kilometers of roads were upgraded across Punjab in 2024.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab is witnessing transformative infrastructural growth. While significant progress has been made in healthcare and education, the Maan government is also focusing on strengthening fundamental facilities like electricity, water, and roads. A well-connected Punjab is key to accelerating economic and social development, and the government is ensuring that road infrastructure gets the attention it deserves.

Smart Mobility Project: A Game-Changer

As part of the Smart Mobility Project, more than 1,000 kilometers of roads were upgraded across Punjab in 2024. This initiative has not only made daily commuting smoother and safer but has also given a boost to trade and business activities across the state. With well-maintained roads, people no longer have to think twice before setting out on a journey. The Maan government is committed to ensuring that road travel in Punjab is comfortable, secure, and efficient.

Rural Road Development: Connecting Every Village

Recognizing the crucial role of rural connectivity in overall state development, the government has approved the construction of 13,400 kilometers of new link roads in Punjab’s villages. These roads will bridge key commercial areas, marketplaces, and highways, ensuring that rural Punjab is well integrated with the state’s economic hubs. Good roads mean progress, and progress in villages symbolizes the prosperity of Punjab. To achieve this vision, the Maan government has allocated approximately ₹2,436.49 crore for rural road development.

AI-Powered Road Construction: Quality First

The Maan Government is ensuring that road infrastructure development is prioritized in a strategic and systematic manner. Ground surveys are being conducted to assess and address the most critical connectivity gaps. Additionally, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being integrated into the road construction process to monitor quality, optimize resources, and enhance efficiency. This revolutionary approach will ensure that every rupee spent translates into improved infrastructure and better services for the people of Punjab.

With a clear vision and strong execution, Punjab is set to redefine mobility and connectivity. The Maan government's unwavering focus on infrastructure will not only make travel easier but will also open up new opportunities for economic growth, ensuring a brighter future for every citizen.
