Haryana: JJP Local Leader Shot Dead By 3 Assailants Outside His 2-Wheeler Showroom In Hansi
A 50-year-old JJP leader was shot dead outside his two-wheeler showroom in Haryana's Hisar on Wednesday evening.
Haryana: Ravindra Saini, a local leader of the opposition Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), was shot dead outside his two-wheeler showroom in Hansi in Haryana's Hisar by three assailants on Wednesday.
The 50-year-old leader, was shot by three men who approached on foot moments, after he stepped out of his showroom late afternoon, news agency PTI reported.
The CCTV footage of the incident showed another person waiting close to the showroom on a motorcycle.
After opening fire at Saini, the three men got on the two-wheeler and escaped the spot. Police told PTI that the JJP leader was rushed to a hospital, but was declared dead by the doctors.
Saini had been provided a gunman for security, PTI reported citing sources in the police department.
Former Haryana CM Hooda Lashes At BJP
Following the incident, former Haryana chief minister and senior Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda criticised the ruling BJP. Reacting to the incident, he posted on X: "It is a matter of great concern and anger that the BJP has handed over the people of Haryana to criminals. Criminals are fearlessly committing murders, extortions and robberies."
"There should be quick and strict action against the killers of Ravindra Saini ji," the former chief minister added.

Recently, the opposition parties in Haryana have slammed the the Nayab Singh Saini-led BJP government in the state over the pertaining law-and-order situation in Haryana.
Former deputy chief minister and senior JJP leader and Dushyant Chautala recently demanded that Haryana should have a full-time home minister.
Shops and petrol pumps were shut in Hisar last week after traders protested against the police's failure to arrest miscreants who allegedly opened fire outside a car dealership in June, demanding Rs 5 crore.
The traders alleged that after the firing incident, the owners of a car accessories shop and an automobile showroom received extortion calls. They were allegedly asked to pay up to Rs 2 crore each, PTI reported.
