In April, ten people were killed, including a child, after a car drove into a truck on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara expressway.

All the occupants of the car were among the deceased who were going to Ahmedabad from Vadodara. Eight people were reportedly killed on the spot while two others died while being taken to a hospital.

Initial probe revealed that the Maharashtra-registered truck was parked on the extreme left lane of the expressway after it developed a mechanical fault and the car rammed into it from the rear side.
