Pawan Kalyan’s Son Mark Shankar Returns Home; 'Still Recovering', Chiranjeevi Shares Update

Mark Shankar, the son of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan, has returned home after sustaining burn injuries in a recent fire accident in Singapore. The update was shared by actor and Kalyan’s brother, Chiranjeevi, who posted a heartfelt message on social media expressing gratitude for the child’s recovery.

Sharing a photograph of Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "Our son Shankar has come home and still has some recovery ahead, but with the grace and mercy of our family deity Anjaneya Swamy, he will return to normal very soon, in full health."

Singapore Fire Accident

The eight-year-old was injured on April 8 in a fire that broke out in a shophouse on River Valley Road, Singapore. The incident occurred during a summer camp, where several children were present. According to reports, Mark suffered burns to his hands and legs and experienced breathing difficulties due to smoke inhalation.

Following the incident, Pawan Kalyan, along with Chiranjeevi and his wife, traveled to Singapore to be by Mark’s side. Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) personnel responded swiftly and managed to douse the flames within 30 minutes. The fire reportedly engulfed parts of the second and third floors of the building.

A total of 19 individuals were injured in the incident, including 15 children. All were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Eyewitnesses and nearby construction workers are said to have played a role in rescuing those trapped inside before emergency services arrived.

Mark Shankar was born to Pawan Kalyan and Anna Lezhneva on October 10, 2017. While he is now safely back home, his family continues to focus on his complete recovery.
