3-Year-Old Raped, Murdered After Luring With Banana In Andhra; Body Found In Bushes

A three-year-old girl, lured with banana, was raped and murdered by a man at Kambaladinne village in Mylavaram mandal of Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh. The accused has been identified as Rahamatulla.
'Victim Was Playing During Relative's Wedding'
According to initial reports, the victim had accompanied her parents to a relative’s wedding in the village. While the event was underway, the girl stepped outside to play, during which the accused allegedly approached her, luring her with a banana. He then took her to a secluded area nearby and committed the sexual assault.
Fearing she might reveal the incident, the accused is believed to have strangled her, resulting in her death. Her disappearance led to an immediate search by her parents and relatives, who scoured the surrounding areas in panic.
Hours later, the girl's body was found in a thorn-covered area near the locality. The news sent shockwaves through the village with residents expressing deep sorrow and anger. Upon identifying the accused, villagers surrounded him and handed him over to local police.
The Mylavaram police have registered a case and confirmed that the suspect is in custody and undergoing interrogation. Authorities have assured a thorough investigation and swift legal action.
In February of this year, a 16-year-old girl lost her life after giving birth in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. The victim, a Class 10 student from a local school in the Palamaneru region, had reportedly been raped and impregnated, leading to devastating consequences, reported India Today. Authorities have launched an intensive investigation as the suspect remains at large.
Meanwhile, Andhra records 1.5 crore downloads of Shakti App which was launched for the safety of women in the state, as reported by Deccan Herald. After the downloads, the people also reportedly received over 11 lakh SOS emergency calls seeking help.
