Cheteshwar Pujara ton in Royal London Cup: Indian cricket team's Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara continued his prolific run in the county championship as he notched up his third ton of the Royal London One-Day Cup on Tuesday. The star batter scored 132 off 90 balls at a strike rate of 238.44 while batting for Sussex. In his innings, he scored his first 70 runs in 64 balls and then scored 62 runs in the next 26 balls. Thanks to Pujara's heroics, Sussex went on to put up 400/4 in 50 overs against Middlesex.
Pujara, who is captaining the Sussex team, hit 20 fours and a couple of sixes during his attacking knock. He has become the second batter ever to record a 57-plus List A batting average (minimum 100 innings). Opener Tom Alsop top-scored in the innings with 189 off 155 balls. Pujara and Alsop also put up a solid 240 runs for the third wicket.

His average in this format is now 57.76 - the 2nd highest by any batter in the history of the game with a minimum of 5000 List-A runs ! Only Michael Bevan (57.86) is ahead of him.#RoyalLondonCup
Earlier, Pujara had blasted a 79-ball 107 against Warwickshire. He then smashed his career-best List A score of 174 in the match against Surrey.
Pujara has played innings of 9, 63, 14*, 107, 174, 49*, 66, and 132 so far for Sussex in the Royal London One Day Cup. The stylish batter has also completed his 500 runs in this tournament.
Following his prolific run in the county championship, Pujara had made a comeback to the Indian team for the rescheduled fifth Test against England last month.
