WATCH: PR Sreejesh's Match-Winning Save That Helped India Get Through To Paris Olympics Hockey Semifinals

PR Sreejesh was splendid between the posts as his effort helped 10-man India come out on top against Great Britain to proceed to the semifinal.

PR Sreejesh has already annouced that the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024 would be his last competitive international hockey tournament. When he walked on to the field then for the quarterfinals, Sreejesh wondered if it was going to be his last international match or whether he would be able to help his team win and give himself two more matches.

And boy did Sreejesh deliver. In a match where India were down to 10-men after Amit Rohitdas received a red-card in the first half and later went to a penalty shootout, Sreejesh was a busy man. But the Wall Of India stood tall and ensured India came out on top.

"(It is a) daily job of a goalie. Some days it's a different effort (but) today is our day. Even in the shootout, the guys who took shots didn't disappoint," Sreejesh told the broadcasters after India's epic win over Great Britain in the Paris Olympics 2024 quarterfinal.

Here is PR Sreejesh's Penalty-Saving Effort That Helped India win:

"They scored and that gave me enough confidence," India's legendary goalkeeper who is set to retire after this edition of the Olympic games said.

"When I stepped on this field today, there was two options for me. This can be my last match, or I got an opportunity for two more matches and I think, yeah, I got two more matches now," he said.

India are now one win away from a medal in hockey. As far as India's campaign in Paris is concerned, it's a medal drought of sorts for India after the three bronze medals in shooting with several Indian athletes falling just short of the podium-finish.
