Pakistan's history-making javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem finds himself at the centre of a controversy. Arshad Nadeem might have won the the gold medal for the country with his Olympic record-breaking 92.97 metre throw in the Paris Olympics 2024 but now finds himself in hot water.

Notably, Arshad met the leaders of the Markazi Muslim League post his return to the country from the French capital where he beat India's Neeraj Chopra to the gold medal. The Markazi Muslim League happens to be the political wing of the UN-declared terror organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba. As per information with ABP News, Markazi Muslim League's spokesperson Tabish Qayyum and their Youth Wing Chairman Harris Dar met Pakistan's sporting icon at his residence. Harris Dar is allegedly involved in funding the activities of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

In fact, the Pakistan Markaji Muslim League has itself taken to its social media handle on X to share a post of the meeting. The political wing of the Lashkar has announced tickets to Umrah for the 27-year-old javelin thrower and his parents.
