Veteran Table Tennis player Sharath Kamal Anchata has been selected for Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award 2022. National Sports Awards are given every year to recognize & reward excellence in sports.
National Sports Award 2022: Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Monday, announced names of sports persons, coaches and entities, who will be receive the prestigious National Sports Awards 2022 by President of India, Draupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan on 30th November, 2022 (Wednesday) at 1600 hrs. National Sports Awards are given every year to recognize and reward excellence in sports.
Veteran Table Tennis player Sharath Kamal Anchata has been selected for Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award 2022. A total of 25 sports persons have been selected for the Arjuna Award for outstanding performance in Sports and Games 2022. The Dronacharya Award will be given to seven coaches. Four players will be honored with the Dhyan Chand Award 2022.
Sharath Kamal Achanta, recipient of Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award, has brought glory to India on International level in Table Tennis for many years. In Commonwealth Games 2022, he performed brilliantly. Most of the players who have been selected for the Arjuna Award 2022 also won medals for India in the Commonwealth Games 2022.
