'I Got Very Emotional': Kohli Remembers AB De Villiers' Voice Note When He Decided To Quit Playing For RCB | WATCH

"My face fell, then I showed her (Anushka Sharma) the message and the voice note. The first thing she said was "don't tell me". She knew because I kind of had the impression," said Kohli while remembering

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) former skipper Virat Kohli told an emotional story about a voice note from AB De Villiers when Mr. 360 decided to quit playing for the RCB in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

In a video shared by RCB, Virat Kohli opened up about how much he missed AB De Villiers not being around in the team. Kohli told a story about how De Villiers informed him that he is going to quit playing for the Challengers in IPL.

"I clearly remember when he finally decided to finally call it a day. He sent me a voice note and I still remember we were coming back from EC and I got this voice note while I was driving back home. I remember that I listened to it and Anushka (Sharma) was with me and I just looked at her (in disbelief)," Kohli said in a video.

"My face fell, then I showed her the message and the VO. The first thing she said was 'don't tell me'. She knew because I kind of had the impression," he added.

Virat then went on to talk about how he had an idea as De Villiers kept hinting about it. "I was guessing it in the last IPL because he kept telling me, 'I wanna see you for coffee, one of these days'. I kept getting nervous, I think there is something coming and he said no man there is nothing. He never speaks like that because we interact all the time."

"It was a strange feeling, I got very emotional and the VO was very emotional when he said, 'look, I dont have it anymore in me.' I have shared so many moments with him the highs and lows, he has been right next to me," Virat added.

"If we (RCB) manage to win the title, I would be very emotional thinking of him first. Rather than what I would experience, I would actually think of him of how much it would still mean to him. He is a special human being.

"I dont think there is one person who can say ab has not contriButed in our lives," Kohli concluded.
