New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals, the champions of the inaugural IPL season, is now officially the first franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history that has agreed to include veteran Bollywood actor Aamir Khan in their squad. Joining the hilarious ongoing banter between Aamir Khan and Star Sports on social media, Rajasthan Royals shared a photoshopped picture from the popular cricket-based movie 'Lagaan' and claimed 'Mr. Perfectionist' will play in their playing XI. 'Aamir Khelega', Rajasthan wrote in its meme.
In response to RR's warm gesture, Aamir came up with a video to thank the franchise in his witty style. He said that he will surely join RR in the nets next season and wished them the best of luck for their IPL 2022 Qualifier 1 match against Gujarat Titans (GT).

Rajasthan Royals will tonight clash against Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 to secure a berth in IPL 2022 final. It is worth noting that in the IPL 2022 points table, Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals are placed at number one and second place, respectively, after the end of group stage matches. Gujarat Titans, under Hardik Pandya's captaincy, has performed brilliantly this season. The team has won 10 out of 14 games this season. Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, has won 9 out of 14 matches.
