IPL 2021: Jasprit Bumrah Hails Kartik Tyagi For Last-Over Heroics Vs Punjab Kings

Punjab needed only four runs in the last over but Royals fast bowler Tyagi dismissed Nicholas Pooran and Deepak Hooda and conceded only one run to help his team register a thrilling two-run win.

Kartik Tyagi took two wickets for one run and defended four runs in the last over to help Rajasthan Royals attain a sensational win over Punjab. Jasprit Bumrah has highly praised Kartik Tyagi's last-over heroics against Punjab. Riyan Parag also termed his spell as a game changer.

Jasprit Bumrah said, "What a amazing over Kartik Tyagi bowled. He did his job with a cool mind under pressure. It was a sample of excellent bowling.''

Rajasthan remains in playoff race

Parag said he had asked fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman to drag the match to the 20th over. "We were in a good position after the first innings of the match but then our fielding was not good and the match slipped out of our hands," he said.

Parag said Mustafizur bowled very well for us and this is why it created a chance for Kartik Tyagi.  Mustafizur spent just four runs in his last over and took the match to the last over. 

Rajasthan Royals have retained themselves in the playoff race with this victory. Rajasthan Royals have managed to win four of the eight matches so far.
